We booked this years cruise embarkation city for many reasons.
1 we didn't want to loose 4 days at sea leaving from Southampton like we did the previous cruise
2 We wanted to get to the warm weather as soon as possible (albeit, there was a heat wave in the UK)

Our cabin, number 8147, was on the Port side with a balcony.
The room was clean, spacious with plenty of hanging space and drawers.
The only downside is the we are used to a kettle in the room. We had brought our own coffee, tea, sugar and milk powder and since i knew there would be no kettle in the room, a thermos flask, which we filled each evening and therefore had boiling water for the morning coffee on the balcony. we could have ordered room service, but we didn't.
