This is an honest review of our week on the Getaway from a seasoned traveler that has traveled plenty of times on NCL...

We booked a Mini-Suite for a family of 4. We had about 7 other family member also booked on the same sailing. Cabin was OK. Just OK. The only benefit this cabin has compared to the balcony was a bigger bathroom. That’s it!

Food & Drinks. This is a BIG concern that we had. We booked 5 Specialty Restaurants. All the restaurants had horrible timing in serving the different courses of the meal. Like - we ordered at 8pm. And left at 10:30pm. This leaves you little time to do stuff at night if you have an early excursion. My youngest child fell asleep at the table 3 times. Food is great. But not enjoyable if you are waiting 30 minutes between your salad and main course. Drink - we didn’t do the drink package for alcohol bc we aren’t big drinkers. But if you order a glass of anything the amount they served was litterally 3 sips. Not sure if they are losing revenue on the drink packages and trying the make the difference on those that are paying for drinks.

Cabin Review

Family Mini-Suite with Balcony

Too small for a family of 4 if you have older kids.
