We booked our vacation about 4 months before the cruise. Because of the popularity we only had a couple of opinions left at the time we wanted to vacation. The timing ended up working out great for us. We got a wonderful veranda on a great deck and a itinerary we could have only dreamed about.

It had been years (13+) since we had been on a vacation. We were quite nervous about the planning but Viking was there for us and answered all our questions. After seeking their help for the perfect cruise we were totally prepared to have a relaxing time. As you have to expect on a 2 week cruise in 4 new countries, there were things I did not anticipate or plan for. The very knowledgeable, friendly crew members made us feel comfortable and, at times, go above and beyond our expectations.

Just one example is on our first full day we overslept after a day and night of flying. I was so disappointed because we missed the excursion into Budapest that morning. After asking about other options for our morning we were directed to some wonderful spots near our dock. We had a great time just the two of us. Read more
