This was my first cruise. I expected long lines to check-in, mediocre buffet meals, overfilled tiny pools, and basically uncomfortable traveling. I loved the idea of the ports of call (St. Thomas, Aruba, Curaçao, & St. Kitts) so off we went.

I arrived around 3:30pm and although there was a line to security check & check-in, it ran fast and in less than 15 minutes we were already boarding. We found our stateroom and went around to explore the ship. Around 6pm we all did the safety drill which took around 30 minutes (it was a bit uncomfortable standing still for so long and so close to other people sweating, but it’s necessary in case of emergency). Then we immediately went to eat at the Windjammer. I was amazed with the food quality and variety. Although it is a buffet, there are waiters all around to help you and bring you anything to your table. They clean tables really fast after you’re done, therefore there are no disgusting plates left around. There are thirst quenching spots where you can grab lemonade, iced tea, orange juice, or water. There are always clean tables where to seat with spectacular views. The plates are a nice size and silverware is prepared with fabric napkins for convenience.

Overall the ship is distributed nicely. There are areas for babies, children, and adults. I loved the St. Tropez deck where not many people go and you feel private and relaxed for sunbathing. Sometimes I joined the fun at the main pool and sipped a drink while enjoying.
