We chose this cruise based on the availability of balcony rooms for our family and we likes all of the stops. It was also more affordable (on the surface) than other cruises at this time. If MSC doesn’t make some major changes to their processes - they will not make it in America.
First - dining. They tell you that you have the time for dinning when you book 7:15 until you get there and your card says 5:15. What a joke. There were lines of angry passengers with the same issue. We were moved to a 9:30 seating. Way too late to eat. We never would have chosen to go on this cruise if we had known 5:15 or 9:30 were our only options. With excursions and family activities. This is a big deal. Food wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t great.
BEWARE - they take your picture when you board the ship. Deliver it to your room the next day. And CHARGE you for it 5 days later. What a SCAM. More lines of very angry passengers.
NO matttrass Pad. No bottom sheet. They had a top sheet as the bottom sheet directly on the mattress. There wasn’t a top sheet. They NEVER changed the bedding. No wash cloths in the room. Grossly understaffed. I’m glad we had Clorox wipes because we cleaned the room when we arrived. It was filthy.
