Researching cruises for 10 family members, SilverSeas was forward to us by AmEx with a wonderful rep. We started with 3 days in Iceland coming from NYC and LA for a stop over (a good move, hit Messin for dinner), two full days in Copenhagen (Marv and Ben- a excellent restaurant). Getting to the pier by taxi was easy and quick from center of town, on and off the boat was too easy and welcoming. Rooms were amazing large with service (butler and housekeeping), that did everything you didn't think of. The fish was sensational from breakfast to lunch to dinner. The Japanese restaurant, Kaiseki is a good lunch place, reservations needed for dinner. You be pleasantly surprised eating at La Terrazza for a touch of Italy with a bottle of Pipoli Aglianico Del Vulture (another find). The Sorrento style pizzas on the pool deck was addicting, especially with the wine service (Chenin Blanc from South Africa was a wonderful learn). For us, Kayaking in Geiranger fjord was an experience that one wanted to last longer and if you can, a must do.. The services & crew were all caring, always putting the vacation experience first, something hard to find. We are thinking about SilverSeas again!
Sensational!
Biking, food and wine were wonderful- go to Marv and Ben for dinner!
Biking tour was good for a change, plenty of sights to photograph
Can be crowded if ships are docked, we hit a day that was walkable. Plenty of outside food and beer patios, shops sell pretty much the same stuff, but we did get a few gifts there. The overall look is wonderful from water and ground.
Took a bus tour, kind of avoid these but guide was funny, views were stunning.
