My experience with Carnival Triumph cruise was great! It was our first family cruise and we all had fun. There is always something to do inside the ship. The number one thing you will do the most is eating. There is plenty of food! There is buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will fill up your whole plate! Honestly, you will gain weight during your cruise. The buffet food is good, it's nothing special but you will a lot. The burgers and pizza were awesome! I recommend them. My sister and I loved them! We would sneak out in the middle of the night and eat pizza. The pizza is 24 hours! The formal dining was good as well. My family was reserved for a late dining which sucks because we missed going to the other activities. The food and service was great anyways. All of the workers in the ship are very friendly. We felt comfortable talking to our waiters for the formal dining. They treated and served us very well. Their names were Rafnedi, Suryadi and Rohit. We enjoyed talking to them. The house keeping service was good. They cleaned our rooms twice a day. They worked so hard and we appreciate. I met the housekeeper, Put, and he was very nice and welcoming. It was very surprising that the workers remembered our names. It a respectful gesture.

Since it was my first time in a cruise, I didn't expect much of the ship itself. The ship is huge and luxurious. It felt like we were in a really fancy hotel. The elevators were very nice, especially the ones that overlooked the ship. The pools were small. We didn't really like the swimming pools. But we enjoyed sunbathing and the movie nights. Relaxing under the sun with a drink is more enjoyable than being in a pool. Speaking of drinks! You will also get drunk in the ship. If you are not keeping up with tab, you will spend a lot of money on drinks.

Our excursions contained enough activities for my family. In Cozumel, we went to Chakanaab Beach. We did snorkeling, watched a sea lion show and a tequila tasting. The snorkeling activity was fun. I loved the water. The water was straight up blue. Its so beautiful. It was a short activity but we were all content with it. Our tour guides Raul and Christian were very nice and they made sure everybody is safe and stayed within the schedule. In Progresso, our excursion was cancelled because not a lot of people bought it. We decided to tour around the city. The tour costs $9 person which, is a good price for a family of four. We simply toured around the city and learn a lot about the culture. After the tour, we went to the beach. The beach was free but not the food. We paid $20 just to get a table. It is expensive but what do you expect from a tourist spot. Be prepared to spend money! But its all worth it for the memories and experience.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6C

The cabin was small but it was expected knowing thousands of people are boarding in. The cabin was good size just for sleeping. You will be spending a lot of time outside of your cabin exploring the ship. The housekeepers did a great job on cleaning and keeping the cabin tidy. It feels good when you see your bed made.

Port Reviews

New Orleans

The port was okay. Honestly, there really nothing to say about it. The workers are very nice ad patient. My sister forgot our camera in one of the buses and it was nice for them to come back and give it to us.

Progreso

Our excursion got cancelled so we settled for a tour around the city and spend a short time around the beach.
