Sail Date: Jan 2010

We were on Century in 2004 before updates. The most disappointing change made was the removal of the Thallostherapy Pool.I was looking forward to using it. We didn't use the pool or jacuzzis. The new teak deck was nice. The new Martini Bar was also very comfortable.

Cabin: very good use of space, quite a bit of storage space and I like the large table on the deck of Concierge Class cabins.Very comfortable beds. There were a few things missing in our cabin when we arrived, ie binoculars, umbrella and only 2 washcloths. The bed was set for 2 twins- we requested queen. I left a note for the cabin attendant. While at dinner the bed was fixed and more washcloths appeared. The next day still no binoculars(I was only concerned because I did not want to be charged) and still no canapes. Later that day I met the cabin attendant, he apologized and explained another attendant left the cruise suddenly and it was his first cruise experience as full cabin attendant and he had double duty. I find most times when things are unsatisfactory there always is a reason and if you ask, things will be corrected . After our conversation everything was much better. Dining: Excellent food in the main dining room for dinner and breakfast. I am amazed how the staff can get all those meals ready and at the table still warm and most often how I requested it. I must have a low sodium meal due to a medical condition and on all my cruises I have been provided with a menu each night for the next nights meals and the chefs prepare a low sodium meal of my choice even escargot. We ate lunch off ship or in the buffet and there was a great wide variety of choice. Speciality Dining: The meal in Murano was absolutely fantastic and we consider ourselves foodies- we love to go to 4 and 5 star restaurants and our meal here compared. The service was wonderful. Everyone should try it at least once. Entertainment: Last cruise on Celebrity I was a little disappointed with the singers and dancers, but this cruise the entertainment was great. I think Celebrity does a great job with outside entertainment choices. We had a comedian named Lewis Johnson who was hilarious and a amazing juggler who had jaw-dropping talent. Embarkation and Debarkation:It was so organized and very easy, simply a breeze. We arrived around 12 pm and were having lunch by 12:15 pm. We left the ship last and although there was a line at customs it went smoothly and quickly. Tendering: in Grand Cayman was also very easy. The Ship in general was clean and in good shape. The ship didn't feel crowded even though the ship was full. No waiting for elevators or lines in the buffet. The crowd: is mostly over 40's with a few younger people- very few children.
