Wanted to see St Petersburg but could not get into port because of weather. My partner had medication that needed to be kept in a fridge between 2-8C degrees. Pre cruise we were told there would be a fridge in cabin. There was not just a chiller which reached 14C this is just for keeping drinks chilled not a fridge. They gave us another portable so called fridge but this again was a chiller with to temperature indicator on it it did not keep normal constant temperature. We asked after much discussion to keep meds in medical centre fridge this was accepted and thereafter no problem my partner went there in the morning injected herself and put med back in Med centre fridge. This is a special medication new on market for Osteoporosis prevention and needs to be kept between 2-8 c Surely if we used Celebrity in future this routine of keeping it in Med Centre fridge can be allowed. It spoilt our trip. However the dining and arrangements and first sitting was excellent the food and waiter service excellent. The shows were spectacular. we were on during the World Cup and watching the big games e.g. England games shown in the theatre on big screen was well planned with pub like snacks and waiter service and bar laid on during the live coverage. The ship was otherwise immaculate clean. Hygiene pre meals etc spot on. our favourite pre dinner drinks venue was the Ice Bar where the cocktail waiter were so much fun showing their expertise in cocktails and showmanship. On the whole I would recommend Celebrity only let us down in being awkward by silly protocols in initially refusing to let us stow an important medicine in a safe reliable fridge in the Medical centre onboard.

Interesting good ports apart from cancelled trip to St Petersburg

Cabin Review

Cabin 7129
The Closets or wardrobes were very small not as spacious as P&O could be a better design
Bathroom small. British designed ships have in our experience better cabin design.
