This was my first cruise with Royal Caribbean. I really wanted to check out Cuba in a ‘group’ environment. And this cruise which overnights in Cuba and offers night shore excursions was my best bet. The Cuban people were warm and welcoming and I felt safe even walking back to the ship past midnight. The day time shore excursions i chose were 4 to 5 hours but were too short as we didn’t stay at each location more than 15 mns. I traveled in July and it was hot too hot for some of those shore excursions especially the walking tour. So consider that when booking. I’d definitely do Cuba again but 2 days is not enough. The local guides were extremely knowledgeable their accents might be an issue for some but not for me. They were also very frank about their daily lives and answered our questions honestly.
The amenities were in line with a ship of this size. Not as many onboard activities as the larger vessels. It may be an older ship but i saw no wear and tare.
The Cabin was quite small but we aren't meant to spend much time in them, are we?
Small. you could see the age of the ship in the cabin.
Old Havana walking tour with rum cigar tasting at the end
Hop on hop off with free rum distillery tour. Very inexpensive took up most of our on shore time
