We chose this cruise as we thought it would be a good way to see Hawaii at an affordable price. We arrived the night before the cruise and stayed at the Marriott, which was included in our cruise and was excellent. The check-in at the hotel was seamless and the rooms were great. The shuttle to the port was hassle free. The check-in at the port was smooth and we thought we were off to a great cruise.
1) We were on the ship by 11:30 am but could not get into our rooms until 5:30pm. All of our luggage was available when we got to the rooms. The rooms were below our expectations due to size mainly. See below for cabin review.
2) The activities on the cruise are limited. For instance, the put-put course has 3 holes and looks like it cost about $500 to make about 20 years ago. Same goes for golf driving range. Both were a joke. Also, shuffle board had either a bad surface or bad discs as some of the discs would go way to far and others would be way short, making the game frustrating to play. The corn hole was also a joke. The bean bags were to light and would be blown off course with just a little wind. Ping pong tables were worn out as well and really needed updating. I'd estimate that with a minimum investment of around $5,000 the cruise ship could make these really enjoyable.
A lot smaller than other cruises I've been on. Could barely fit chair and stool on balcony. Not very much room for clothes storage in the room. Overall poor layout. The interior room for my kids had more space than the balcony room.
Bed was comfortable.
