Our grandparents took me and my sister on this cruise. This was our first Avalon Waterways cruise. The overall experience on the cruise was very good! Some of the shore excursions were rushed though. For example, in Hiedlberg the castle tour did not cover much at all and we had little time in the city. Other cities would have been much more enjoyable with more time in them, also. The restaurant food was delicious and there were many options. All of the staff were excellent. Both the embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. Our cruise director was very organized and so were the rest of the staff. The rooms were nicely cleaned and set up each night. Over all this was a very good Avalon Waterways cruise along the Rhine River. We really enjoyed this cruise and would definitely recommend this cruise on the Rhine to our family and friends.
