I traveled with Globus to South America in 2000 and was impressed with the experience. Also I had many recommendations from friends and associates on the Avalon experience. The airfare was a bargain. Accommodations before and after the cruise were excellent as were the transfers to and from the ship. Being a diabetic, I was used to eating earlier than the 7 pm sitting but managed to adjust accordingly. I found the vegetarian choices for the evening meal to be lacking in protein but appreciated the choices for the evening meal that I could rely on when nothing else appealed to me on the nightly menu. Our tour director Mark worked miracles when we were unable to get to a destination due to low water level. His efforts were much appreciated. I would definitely travel with Avalon again and am seriously looking at the Budapest to Bucharest tour in the future.
I loved the bathroom space but found the twin beds to be a bit narrow.
