We chose this cruise specifically for the waterpark, which was a huge let down. Not only was it much smaller than expected, with only one big slide that was super slow, it was closed for almost half of our trip. I felt the quality of the food was poor with limited choices, mainly fried, tons of oil, imitation cheese on eggs, SPOILED foods, extreme lack of healthy options. Our cabin was unclean, all of the lines, towels, sheets, bed spreads, as well as dirty fridge, and commode. I found some of the staff to be rude to customers as well as other staff, especially men towards woman, as noted in the Effy Store. Items were lost...the list goes on. I found budget entertainment some of the evenings, as well as silly day time and evening pool side events that were not always family appropriate. I found their sales pitches disguised as fun, free gift give away events that endured for 2-3 hours with Sam and Lauren extremely annoying and disrespectfully a huge waste of guest's vacation time. We have cruised in the past with Carnival and had a good experience, but this ship, this staff, I found added to just an overall negative cruise experience. Considering the above, as well as the exuberant amount of money spent, I will not sail again with Carnival, especially on the Paradise. The shore excursions booked through Expedia (and not Carnival) were amazing!
