We have Just returned from a one week Caribbean cruise on the Allure.

We have taken over 35 cruises but this was our first time on such a big ship, and we wondered if we would like it. Unfortunately we found the whole experience to be somewhat disappointing, and lacking in the normal enjoyable cruise atmosphere you get while on board your ship.

The ship -to be fair was fresh and clean, and the food was good in the main dining room, but all the central/ communal bars and relaxing areas were in the inner part of the ship and were dark and dull - with no views of the sea. You would never have known you were on a cruise ! We also missed the usual RCL sky bar area for sail off in a lovely cool , air conditioned and comfortable seating area. The only place to go to see the sea was on top deck-but in 32 degree heat, no one could bear to stay too long out there. The swimming pools were too small with standing room only, and the decks around them were packed and cramped.
