We took the 18-day voyage from Rotterdam (coincidence) to Boston. The crew were great. The dining room food was fabulous. The ports of call were wonderful. But when it rained, the roof over the Lido deck leaked like a watering can. There were plumbing issues all over the ship, with leaks, toilets not working (ours stopped working 5 times) and hot water not available in some cabins at times. Cabin windows on decks 1 - 3 were streaked because water seals broke, letting in water and salt; visibility through many windows was reduced. The ship seems to be in disrepair and needs to be fixed if the company is going to charge the usual fare structure for its cruises. Positives for the ship are its crew and dining room cuisine. The Rotterdam has some of the friendliest crew I have met, and the food is simply superb. The ship looks good in public spaces, but the gremlins are hiding beneath.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom
Cabin E 2579
Cabin was spacious and well-appointed. Liked the USB charging sockets. Beds comfortable. But toilet stopped working 5 times. Right-side window pane was streaked with salt and water, and visibility through it was limited. True blackout curtains would have helped as this cruise experienced near-midnight sun.
