Cabin: Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite

This was our 30th cruise, and our 4th time on HAL. We chose this cruise/crossing since we had spent a month in Amsterdam and needed to get back to the States. The Iceland and Greenland ports were also attractive.

We loved the extra space and design in our Neptune Suite, plus the additional Neptune features such as the lounge where we often got breakfast and received the friendly attentive services of the concierge staff. Also liked breakfast in the Pinacle Grill.

We were a bit worried boarding the Rotterdam since it is older and smaller than some HAL ships. While it cannot be described as either luxurious or stylish, it is in good condition and tastefully attractive. It's big enough to have enough activities and public spaces that never felt crowded. We especially enjoyed spending time in the Crow's Nest

Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite

Cabin SA

This is an accessible Neptune, so it has a little more room. We were very happy with the Neptune space and design, lots of room to relax, and we spent a lot of time in our suite. Big balcony. Lots of storage room. Excellent bed. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise in the morning coming from Deck 8 above, the smoking area and the Lido Buffet, chairs being moved around, plus a lot of stomping on the stairs. This disturbed our sleep.
