Chose the trip as a first cruise for my wife. 2 days on the water is a safe way to determine if a longer Alaska or Eupopean cruise would work. Everything from the booking process through the disembarkation was smooth. The ship is older and has been refitted so it looks and feels modern. The cabin was nice, I jab a lower deck outside cabin that had a HUGE round port hole window. Queen sized bed, side tables, and a small TV (for what?) were in the room. The fridge wasn’t up to par and the head of housekeeping offered us an ice chest but we settled on a constant supply of fresh ice and that worked well. We ate at the Admiralty on the first night, which was an upgraded dining option but checked out the Ocean Buffet which looked substantial on its own. Night 2 we ate at the Rock Grill, on our next trip I’ll try to finagle the Admiralty both nights. The shows are so-so BUT the Adult comedian on our trip (Lou Remy) had the audience rolling in the aisles. If you’ve been to Freeport and hit Port Lucaya then there’s no need to spend anything on the excursions. I’m already planning our next Grand Classica trip. .
