We chose this cruise solely on wanting to go to Havana. Royal Caribbean did not disappoint. We knew going in this was a small ship with less amenities. We weren't cruising for that reason. We still managed to have a great time. We ate all our evening meals in the main dining room utilizing my time dining. The food was excellent, as was the wait staff. The only disappointment was the dress code was not enforced. Shorts, t-shirts, and ball caps should not be in the main dining room.
The ports of call were exactly what we wanted. Both ports were easy to navigate and it was nice to come and go from the ship for breaks. In Key West my husband snorkeled, while I did the trolley tour around the island. We both were pleased with our excursions. We met up for lunch and after toured the butterfly observatory. It was beautiful.
Havana was spectacular, we did the 5 hour bus tour of Old Havana we booked it through Royal Caribbean. The initial process of getting into Cuba was not hard but it took a little time. Once your passport was stamped going back and forth to the ship was a breeze. The bus tour was really good and informative. It helped us navigate the city later on our own. The second day we booked a tour on our own. Food Tours Havana, we really enjoyed this tour. While walking around the city with an English speaking guide we were treated to the tastes of Cuba. The food was delicious and the guide taught us so much about the Cuban culture and cuisine. We HIGHLY recommend this tour.
We would not have paid extra for ocean view if we knew it was just a port hole. That was our fault for not researching more closely.
The neighbors were extremely noisy late into the night.
