My husband and I are avid cruisers - we have silver membership with NCL.
Due to a terrible experience last year on the NCL Sky - the Miami/Cuba/Harvest Cay cruise in July 2017 and after 3 months of going back and forth with Guest Relations and dealing with several rude, disrespectful customer service members who were directly named in my complaint to them, we received a credit for $1800 which had to be used by July 2018. We paid over $6k for the NCL Sky cruise for what was supposed to be a Haven suite - and ended up being a large balcony room on a very old, beat up ship with broken closet doors and disgusting green slime around the knobs of the tub - photos were taken and emailed to NCL regarding this along with the fact that the room reeked of cigar smell and I suffer from chronic migraines and was sick the entire week because they had "no other rooms" available to relocated us to. So since we live in NY, we decided to take the Bermuda cruise.
The Escape is a relatively new ship, HUGE (over 5000 people) and very, very nice. The staff and crew kept it very clean. Several issues - the onboarding process was a mess. We were allowed to pick a time of arrival because we are silver latitude members, so I picked 11:30am - arrived around 11:15am to the pier, however the lines were already out of the door. Took over 90 minutes just to get onboard. Was then told to go directly to the restaurant concierge to make reservations for the 3 night specialty dining package that we chose - that line was also over 30 minutes long.
Mini suite was small - not what I'd call an actual mini-suite - regular balcony room. Nothing special about it.
TV had only news channels and cartoons. All other movies had to be purchased.
