We chose Carnival because we were paying for our family to take this vacation. We have been on other Carnival ships but mainly stay with Royal Caribbean. Checking in was awesome. Not much of a wait but that is were it stopped. When we booked we called Carnival to book everything. We were told the ship was going to be redone in May/June and the person we spoke with sent me via email a new layout of the cabins and we specifically selected our cabins so we were close to our grandkids. Well we get on the ship and our cabins were on opposite sides of the ship. They even split our cabins for dinner and we were not in the same restaurants. Our cabin steward and the entire staff were awesome. Bad side was two nights we were all bitten and had red marks and extreme itching. They did have us lol at the same table by the second night so thank you to the staff. Sameer the magician was awesome. What a wonderful surprise for the kids and us. We booked four excursions one for each port. When we arrived in grand Cayman and arrived at our pick up point for the excursion we were told that our 3 year old was to going and could not go. Even the Shore Excursion staff were saying that was not true but when they went back with us they were told their policy changed. So she went and found us anothe similar excursion which ended up being so Much better then what we booked. Their entire staff were so helpful when we got back on board and made sure that all of our remaining excursions were perfect.

Not impressed with dinner. Food was average and small portions. Staff was friendly and always smiling. Just too few and dinner was very very long. We were seated at 6pm and still ended up being one of the last tables served. Most evenings we were still finishing dessert while all the other tables had already been reset for the next seatingbat 8pm. Also bar service was extremely slow. Not due to the personnel but due to not having nearly enough staff for a fully booked ship. Overall ship was way under staffed, long lines everywhere but staff that was there was very friendly and helpful. Hats off to the staff.

Cabin Review

Cabin ADA room

Cabin steward Ricky was awesome. Room was always cleaned. Temperature was too warm. Technician came and said that all was fine. We were all sweating. Major issue happened last two nights. We were all bitten by some bug and ended up with very itchy red bumps.
