I chose this line and ship since I thought it is first class. I was so very wrong with that. The cruise and excursions that we chose were great, but the ship was full of children everywhere (don't get me wrong I love children I am one of ten, I have 5 children and 9 grandchildren) but to go on a expensive cruise and not have any peace or anywhere to sit and read a book that is insane. The hot tubs were full of children from morning to night never used one. The observation deck impossible to get a chair since parents slept and children took over bare feet on couches and food everywhere. The ship was a playground and babysitter for the children. The food was very disappointing the same stuff everyday at the buffet except for the carved meat. The main dining room was nice but again overpacked and very loud the food was ok and excellent. I just feel we paid top dollar we should have top dollar food and service. The staff were very unfriendly didn't feel welcomed at all with an exception of 2 or 3 people. The enterntainment was not enough and very poor. Never eveen saw Jersey Boys sold out!! Really?? The room was very nice and so was our service. I surprised my husband for his 60th since he never went on a cruise, but unfortunately it was a disaster we will never recomend or go on the Norwegian again. There was no room at the bars nor did you have servers walking around. In the casino NO ONE came to ask you if you want a drink unless you looked for them and mostly had to go to the bar yourself HORRIBLE!!! I don't smoke but they have a designated smoking section on the back of the ship that is probably a 10 by 10 section like a kennel for dogs really didn't the smokers pay more then the kids??? Such a shame that Norwegian didn't live up to their name.
