Chose Princess based on reviews; wish we would have stayed with Royal Caribbean, Service was marginal, food was marginal. Bathrooms (public) were "under maintenance" most of the cruise - you needed to return to your stateroom. DO NOT use the any time dining - we chose this option as we had several excursions and our options were either 5:00 or 8:30 for scheduled dining. Dinner turned into a rather long and painful experience for the most part,

There were exceptions; of course - to the rule of mostly rude/apathetic crew. We praised highly these individuals and our cabin steward was fantastic. Front desk was excellent as well. Embarkation was painless - easy; same with disembarkation.

Alaska is breathtakingly beautiful. Being with our family was incredible as well. Our excursions were wonderful; but we were all (experienced "cruisers") not impressed with this rather pricey cruise line.
