This was a birthday cruise for my husband. We traveled with another couple, no kids this time and were looking forward to relaxing and having fun. Getting on the ship was a breeze! We were on and having our first DOD by 12:15! We were on this ship in August and were excited to see the updates made when she went into dry dock in October. The upgrades were all very nice. We were on the Veranda deck and will book that deck in the future. Very convenient to the lido deck and pool! We thought the food was excellent and that there were a lot of choices. We had great table mates at dinner and had an excellent wait staff. The maitre'd was also very kind and always came over to chat with us. This has only happened one other time for us. We never saw our room steward, but our room was always clean and there was never a limit on towels. We absolutely loved the serenity deck at the back of the ship. We spent all day Friday out here. It is a new addition and you have to be 21 or older to be there. This was strictly enforced. Two hot-tubs with lots of hot water and great views of the Gulf! The waiter on the serenity deck is K-man and he is GREAT!!!!! We went to 2 of the shows and they were pretty impressive. The boat was rocking and rolling a bit and I was amazed that they could dance with all the ship movement. The cruise director and staff were very good and always smiling and saying hello when they saw you. We participated in a few of the ship's activities but were really enjoying just hanging out and relaxing. We had one stop in Cozumel and did the Fury Catamaran beach party. This was a blast! We had a great time on this cruise and I personally will say that it is hard to beat only having to drive 45 minutes to Galveston to cruise. We will definitely book again on this ship!
