We had a great time on board the Ruby Princess in Alaska!

We have been cruising since 2006 and this was the fastest, easiest, most pleasant embarkation and debarkation we have ever had! The ship was fabulous! We loved everything about it except for the layout. It was impossible for us to go anywhere without getting lost. We had trouble from the moment we embarked until the moment we got off.

We chose late assigned seating and were very pleased. The food was good, the other three couples we ate with were delightful and our waiters were wonderful. We also enjoyed the afternoon teas but we wondered why there was no musical entertainment during them, especially since the orchestra was so excellent! Even recorded classical music would have been nice. Vines was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and listen to the music in the Piazza.

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin OZ

We had a wonderful surprise when we got to the room, we had booked an inside guarantee and were upgraded to an ocean view with a large, partially obstructed, ( we didn't notice the obstruction) picture window. The room layout was very good with a nice big closet off the bathroom and nightstands on either side of the bed. Our steward was great and always came through whenever we asked for anything. We had a not-so-nice surprise on our last day though. As we were packing something rolled under the bed, when we went to get it we found peanut shells under my husband's side of the bed. We know they weren't ours so we wonder how long they were there.
