The tender process at the private island was awful. Guests waited thirty minutes on the tender in the hot sun while another tender was there idling and queued. NCL now requires guests to go to a single lounge to obtain a "tender ticket", which does nothing to speed the process. I cruised NCL several times before the "tender ticket" process, and it was much quicker and easier. Also, Beware...and eighteen-year-old is NOT considered an adult on NCL and required an adult to disembark onto the private island. The private island was plagued by unsightly construction.

The free alcohol made for an unpleasant cruise when numerous other guests are unable to pace themselves. NCL actually advertises a patch that promotes more alcohol consumption. The new "free drinks" cruise made it less family friendly and created a boat full of rude and obnoxious drunks.

While there are a lot of food choices on the Sun, entertainment consists of a comedian and dancing. Although they had a great theater, the shows were not good or interesting.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin ID

Good size cabin. Good television. Closets and drawer space were good. Shower was very small.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Tender process detracted from experience at the private island. Too long and unpleasant to tender to the island. The island was covered with unsightly construction. The island is infested with seagulls.
