This is my 4th cruise to the Bahamas and my 2nd on Carnival. I went on this cruise with my best friend and her husband, this was his first cruise and she and I have gone on 2 others together. The overall experience was good but I was very disappointed in the SPA treatments. We arrived on Thursday afternoon to board the ship and once aboard explored the different areas to get a good idea on what was offered and where it was located compared to our room. As we explored we took the SPA tour where after the tour I purchased 3 of the seaweed body wraps and full body massages for us and I also booked a mani/pedi treatment and facial for myself. One of the best things about cruising is to be able to treat yourself with SPA treatments to add to your relaxation and vacation experience. My friend and her husband had a couples experience for the seaweed wraps and massages and besides the water being too hot they really enjoyed the treatment. I on the other hand had a less than desirable experience. First off my appointment for the seaweed wrap and massage was scheduled for 8:30pm the first evening, I wanted to start off the cruise relaxed, but when I got there I was told that they had is scheduled for 8pm and that I was late. I produced the appointment slip they gave me earlier in the day stating 8:30pm and they asked me to have a seat while they straightened it out. A few minutes later I was told I was only booked for a half body treatment instead of the full body treatment, which I had scheduled the full body. It took about 15 minutes but they were able to adjust and correct their mistake. In doing so I missed out on the heated water bed that was supposed to be apart of the treatment but they extended the hot stone massage to be full body to make up for that. However they were clearly not prepared for this and the whole first half of the treatment I was extremely uncomfortable. I felt rushed with the wrap and when it came time to shower off the water was cold (couldn't get it warm, didn't matter what I turned the knob to) and there was no towel left for me to dry off. So when I laid back down on the table for the massage portion I was wet and so cold my whole body was shivering and nowhere near relaxed. The massage however was amazing. Once my body warned back up under the hot stones and oil I was finally able to relax and enjoy myself. It was definitely not worth the money that I paid for the whole treatment and I would not recommend the full treatment to anyone but I would consider doing just a hot stone massage again as that portion was lovely. The next day I had my mani/pedi nail treatment and I was really looking forward to it. The actual treatment was lovely and very relaxing. My only complaint is that the paint on my nails were chipping and cracking within 24 hours! With the amount of money I spent on the treatment the product should of lasted much longer so it was very disappointing and sadly I will never do this again on Carnival. I ended up cancelling my facial appointment as I was so disappointed in the SPA and I'm now rethinking my plans for my next Carnival cruise in September.

The rest of the cruise was very nice. As it was only a Thursday - Sunday cruise it was a nice long weekend get away filled with wonderful food, very friendly staff and just enough entertainment choices. Every night at dinner the food was superb and the wait staff was excellent (we were at table 337 in the Silver dinning room). The buffet on the upper deck was always freshly stocked and I have to say the entire ship was kept very clean (well done Carnival). Our cabin was a decent size (room 6448) and I was pleasantly surprised to find a small refrigerator in the room.

As for entertainment I feel Carnival did a great job trying to accommodate 3500 guest with having a little something for everyone. The "Broadway" style shows were fun, there were movies being played on the big screen by the pool, Bingo was a blast and they had the night club and comedy clubs with events throughout the cruise.
