Our family chose this cruise to celebrate our parents' 50th anniversary. Most of us had never been to Alaska and Alaska didn't disappoint! I highly recommend a voyage through the Inside Passage. This review is going to cover the Star Princess itself and its crew.

NOROVIRUS

We were notified via email, days PRIOR to our trip, that "during the current cruise there was a slight elevation of cases of gastrointestinal illness among guests suspected to have been caused by norovirus." The email explained that departure and boarding times would be delayed so that the ship could be disinfected thoroughly. At first, I was "grossed-out" by the thought of spending a week on a ship that had been filled with sick passengers a few days prior. However, my level-headed husband pointed out that the ship will probably be cleaner for us than it had been in a long time. Excellent point. Whew.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

The room was spacious and had lots of storage. It was very clean with the exception of dirty carpeting in the corners near the balcony door.
