This was our first Alaska cruise and our third cruise with Celebrity. Compared to other cruise lines I thought the food was very good and the service was great in most places. The only place we weren't pleased with the service was the martini bar - a couple of the bartenders were arrogant and made you feel like a second class passenger if you don't purchase the premium drink package. Otherwise, though, the service in every other part of the ship was outstanding.

We went to the after-dinner shows almost every night and thought they were very well done. One night we even went to the "silent" disco, which turned out to be a lot of fun too - I'd recommend checking that out.

We ate dinner in the dining room every night and the food was consistently very good - and the sommelier and beverage staff were also very helpful.

Cabin Review

Ocean View 6

Cabin 06

We typically book veranda cabins but thought this cruise to Alaska would be a great cruise to see if an ocean view is worth the lower cost. This cabin is in a secluded section on the boat and was convenient to so many amenities. Since its in a bank of rooms that was converted from a conference room, the window is larger than a standard ocean view room, which made the room feel more open. Our cabin attendant Rose was very sweet and our room was clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised how much we liked this location and would definitely book it again if traveling to a cold destination (we'll go back to veranda cabins for sunny destinations).
