We have taken 2 other cruises with Royal Caribbean and always satisfied with value. We enjoy Galveston port which is close to home. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are strong - they do not skimp on alcohol. Just be aware that they try to upsell you on everything. So be prepared to say no and you will be fine.

Cafe on promenade deck is open 24/7 so you can always get free coffee and hot chocolate and cookies at all hours. Food selection and service are better at main dining hall but if you want all you can eat and self service then go to Windjammer. Always check entertainment in main theater or you may miss a Broadway show or comedian. My wife enjoyed Eagles cover band. I liked piano bar and Latin band. Lots of good places to lay ouy in shade or sun on deck 12.
