First of all I would like to give a big shout out to Catalin, aka “Bobby” and his dinner crew of 2. I’m sorry I don’t have their names but service was amazing and they were very quick to know what we liked before we ordered. Excellent personality and service at dinner. We had the late seating which I was initially disappointed about, but it turned out perfect. “Your Time Dining” often has 45 min waits which I don’t want on a nice vacation. We literally walked into dinner at 8:15-8:20 every night and immediately sat down and ordered. We also enjoy the late afternoons by the pools when everyone disappears. Dinner menu options were different every night and very delicious. Great time to go out of your comfort zone and try new dishes and desserts.

Second, another shout out to Kristan (?spelling but pronounced same as Christian) our room steward. He knew our names and greeted us by them no matter where he saw us on the ship. Asked him for ice refills once on day 2 each time he entered our room and every day after we rarely ran out of ice (unless we used it all). Doesn’t sound like a big request but again on this cruise the dining room ran out of ice by 1-2pm on sail days. How does that happen?

Very disappointed by Carnival cancelling St. Thomas on our itinerary, this port was one of the reasons we booked this cruise. We had a sail/snorkel/beach catamaran excursion booked and were ver disappointed it was cancelled. We did however last minute on board book the catamaran trip in Amber Cove which was a great experience. 45 min. Ride to the beach, but you actually sail for about 2hours back to the boat which was beautiful in spite of bad weather heading our way.

Cabin Review

Spa Balcony

Cabin 8S

Loved the balcony but remember on deck 12 but remember there’s no overhang like the other balcony levels.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Catamaran sail/beach/snorkel trip was a lot of fun. 45 min ride to the beach, but you sail directly back to the ship/port. Actually enjoyed seeing the Dominican on the bus and Allen gave us really good info about the area and culture.

Grand Turk

Loved just hanging in the crystal clear ocean water right off the port.
