We’ve been wanting to visit a part of Cuba so when someone organized this cruise to Havana we readily signed up. It did not disappoint. This wasn’t our first time on a Royal Caribbean cruise so we knew what to expect. The difference this time is that we booked a grand suite. As such, we got some perks in addition to having much more space for two people. The balcony was really spacious. Priority boarding and disembarkation were nice because it made everything such a breeze and removed much of the stress of traveling. Having your own dining area and servers for breakfast was also relaxing. And the daily treats was a nice touch The service everywhere on the ship was friendly and professional. The food was good, though certainly not great whether one ate in the dining room or at the Windjammer. The nightly shows were of varying quality The headliner from Vegas was good but the song and dance productions were mediocre: I don’t think we got our money’s worth from the refreshment package but that’s on us. We don’t drink much other than water. The panoramic picture tour that we booked worked well for us. We were able to see more than our friends and family. I am aware that booking excursions with a cruise line is more expensive but I just preferred not to deal with the hassle of arranging things with a relatively new destination for Americans. I would certainly recommend Royal Caribbean for your basic no surprises for cruise. I would also recommend Havana as a destination Go for the history and not necessarily the sites although those fifties cars are worth a close up look.
Spacious balcony. Good clean room can’t think of anything to complain above b
We got to see a lot of the city with a panoramic city tour.
