This Royal Princess cruise was an delightful experience that I hope to repeat soon on another Princess ship (but with newer, softer beds). The embarkation and disembarkation were seamless! The ship's staff and officers created a welcoming and happy atmosphere, and the service everywhere was great. The dining options were many and varied, and the food was excellent. The stateroom and bathroom were perfect, with a convenient laundromat nearby. The entertainment options were varied and good, although busy days in port meant that I turned in by 10:00 pm each night and missed some late-night opportunities. Although I spent five pre-cruise days on my own in London, had I known passengers have the option to disembark early in order to visit a particular city post-cruise, I would have done so to spend time in Paris. Three cautions! First, although Princess shore excursions are good, research each port carefully for the type of sites you'll see, as well as access and transportation from/to the ship. (Consider other non-Princess excursions, in particular Viator and WOW tours...less bus time, less expensive, better quality.) Second, if you aren't willing to cheerfully put up with lots of buses and crowds at each port, avoid Summer cruises and travel in May or October! Third, be aware of what you spend on add-on services like (poor quality) Internet Service, Specialty Coffee Cards and Beverage Packages...choose wisely to suit your budget. Also, be aware that accompanying the excellent Spa Services are rather intrusive sales pitches to purchase expensive spa products. Altogether, I LOVED this Royal Princess cruise, and plan a Summer combined Norway-Baltics cruise for 2019 or 2020.

Single, older woman traveling alone (happily).

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BC C215
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the cabin, by the large, double closet, ample drawer space AND the spacious, well-laid-out bathroom. I was also pleased that the balcony door closes tightly with no "wind blowing through" noise. There was no safe in this particular double bed cabin, but frankly, I had such confidence in my stateroom steward, Pedro, that I was (justifiably) comfortable without one.
