I was so incredibly disappointed with this cruise. This was our 5th cruise overall and 2nd with Carnival. We enjoyed our previous cruise with Carnival, but this one was a let down in almost every way. I asked several of the passengers that were Gold members if it was just this ship, or if Carnival has gone downhill. They said it was a bit of both. My first tip would be to choose ANY other cruise.

Embarkation: It was quick and easy! The Port of Galveston was very easy to deal with.

The WiFi: The one thing that all the Gold members complained about was the WiFi. They all told me that they were going to go get a refund on their WiFi packages because it was unusable. I purchased the Social Package. I was happy with the price. It was slow. But since I was mainly using it for messaging, it was ok for me. Uploading a picture could take a long time though.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Overall, my cabin was ok. We were in an ocean view cabin. The room was dated but reasonably clean. Two notes: 1) There was only 1 electrical outlet in our room to use. 2) While the bathroom was large enough, the shower was oddly shaped (like someone cut a corner off a rectangle) and small. This could be a problem if you are a larger person. The shower was literally the width of the shower handle in the front. It was wider in the back. I did not measure it. But I'd guess it was about 15 inches in the front and maybe 30 in the back. There was no tub. We were given one small bar of soap the entire time we were there. It was in small pieces before we left. But the cabin steward never left a new one. The bed was comfortable for us. However, some of the sheets badly needed to be replaced. Two of our pillowcases were unusable due to being completely pilled. There was plenty of storage for the two of us. TIP: Bring ear plugs. I don't know if it was just our room, but it was loud when we were trying to sleep. We were surrounded by rooms full of a cheer leading team and could hear every word they said late at night through the walls and in the hallway. My earplugs came in very handy!
