We chose this cruise to celebrate my early retirement and to take a vey much deserved break. We loved the convenience of being able to sail directly from Boston without flights involved. We traveled just as a couple this time, but home to do a family cruise perhaps next June. The staff is exceptional and we loved our cabin steward, Dragan. Dining was excellent overall. We met some amazing people, and Bermuda is so worth visiting! The ship is aging, and there was very sting odor of mold on the lower decks in particular. I became ill by our last day, even with obsessive jabs washing, sanitizing and using all forms of illness avoidance techniques. I have pneumonia, which could be did Yo exposure to mold or just the contact with the large population. The conduct of passengers was an issue, and many of the guests over imbibed, which was unpleasant at times. I would recommend where there is card tracking and technology to allow monitoring excess of alcohol consumption, more should be done fiduciarily to protect ALL passengers. Any establishment that serves alcohol is legally bound to refuse service when guests are visibly intoxicated. There were public disturbances including outbursts in specialty dining establishments, violence between guests, vomiting in areas of food service (Garden Cafe, deck 12). and on deck due specifically to this issue which we feel could have been controlled with substantial efficacy and needs to be addressed with policy changes. There were paper thin walls as well which certainly added to the cruise experience at times, on many levels. However, all staff handled each event with professionalism, care and extreme efficiency, enduring much to maintain a safe and pleasurable cruise overall for each and every guest. We were treated as royalty and are exceedlngly grateful for this care. I would recommend this cruise and ship.
