This is the second NCL we have done. Last year we did the Epic and it was really fabulous! We did Haven both times and the difference was huge. The Bliss has an indoor pool in haven but it was still very cold and kids could stay in it for 5 minutes before jumping into the hot tub that had 15 other kids in it. Only one hot tub kids could use. In rainy windy times we would sneak up to the deck 16 years or older and let them use the hot tub as their own private pool. However last day at sea the closed all the hot tubs for maintenance? We complained and said why close them on a day at sea? Day 1 all restaurants, race track and laser tag booked. We complained and overheard them say an extra 1,000 people on board and they sold too many dining packages for incentives. Kids in boat were crying because some did not get a chance to race or laser tag. It was often closed because of weather anyways. We were able through haven to secure 1 race track per person and 1 laser tag. Haven amenities same dessert in observation lounge never changed once, who wants dessert at 3:00 with cocktails? Went to 15th floor to get food. Haven staff was ok, we tip at end of cruise, cocktail servers seemed only driven by tips to help you. Upcharged for a drinks in haven, same drinks we could get at maltings whiskey bar on beverage package. Haven restaurant was a joke- better food anywhere else in ship. Epic was much better- same menu too! The port times are rediciouus never enough time off the boat I have seen other cruise port times and much better. Bliss seems to have gotten the worst port spots as well. No expedited on board off board for haven guests. I think they did once in Victoria. Juneau it took 30mins in line to get back on ship. Security man closed the line and started to take pictures of the line saying it was a joke. Manhattan had the best staff! Faster service and best food. You should have those people in the Haven. The buffet was the same food over and over. Splash academy was ok- we used it once. My kids got to ride the slide on last day before Victoria when the weather was ok. This ship is not designed for Alaska weather and outdoor activity. The walk out boardwalk was rarely used as it was too cold. Epic in Europe was half the price and twice the fun. Bliss has some kinks to work out. All in all I would not recommend this cruise.

Cabin Review

The Haven 2-bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

It was silly, second bedroom when bed was pulled out and bunk bed down you could not get to bathroom as latter in way and had to jump over bed. Who designed this? Clothing space was good.
