We have taken 7-night cruises in the past and chose this one because it was a bit longer. Also, we had never been to Bermuda before.

The experience on Anthem of the Seas was wonderful - a fairly new ship that has very modern style, with many technological improvements over the ship we were on for our last cruise experience 3 years ago.

The entire ship was spotless everyday and the staff were more than eager to please everyone. Highlights for us were: the Ripcord (iFly) - the skydiving simulator - it is a MUST! Also, the NorthStar was amazing, providing views of the Caribbean on all sides, at a height of 300 feet above the ocean! The trapeze and bumper cars were other fun onboard activities. The robotic bar tenders were really fun to watch.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 2D

The cabin layout was fine and the balcony was spacious (by cruise ship standards). The only thing to note was that there is an overhang above the 13th deck. The 14th deck protrudes out farther than 13 and below, so the ceiling of 13 extends out several feet past those of lower floors. This is NOT an obstructed view level but, with the overhang, there is not much direct sunlight, except early in the morning. This could be a plus for anyone who wants a shady spot to relax, but a drawback for those who want to sunbathe on their balcony.

We enjoyed our cabin and actually liked the shade the overhang provided; just noting that it may be a concern to some.

There is a great deal of storage space in the cabin - two large wardrobes; both have hanging space plus one has drawers and storage cubes. Also, there is a dresser with four large drawers. There are also two very large storage cabinets above the bed (we only found these on day 5 or 6), that have extra pillows and comforter.

The sofa was very comfy, although we did not use it much. An in-room safe, refrigerator, and hair dryer are also in each room.
