Traveled with DH on a 14 day Back-to-Back (Eastern Caribbean the first week and Western the second week). Both weeks had come from casino offers & then received the icing on the cake -- a few weeks prior to the cruise, we were offered a great upsell offer to move to a Window Suite for both weeks. Princess only has 3 ships with this option and we wanted to give it a try. Size and perks of a regular suite, but no balcony. Also, lots cheaper than a regular suite and comparable in price to a mini suite. We enjoyed all the perks we got (specialty breakfast, Club Class Dining. in-room dining from the MDR, minibar). The other perk was the location (between the forward elevators and the Piazza). We're regular Princess cruisers (average 7-8 per year). We've been to all the ports, so for us - the cruise & ship are the thing!! No excursions in any of the ports. We did get out and explore a bit in St. Thomas and Cozumel. The other ports were treated like sea days with just enjoying the ship and the quiet.

Since we've sailed out of Fort Lauderdale many times, we did not do anything there except fly in & board the ship. We're Elite on Princess and embarkation was super smooth. It probably took us about 20 minutes from arrival to ship. Disembarkation was just as fast. Since we weren't flying out until late afternoon, we took the last departure time off the ship. We hold Global Entry, and always enjoy the ease of moving through Customs. On our turn-around day, they took the approximately 150-200 passengers off the ship into the terminal, did customs and then back onto the ship very quickly. I think Princess has this procedure down-pat!

Lots of activities on the ship - we tend to play bingo, do trivia & hit the casino. Didn't see any of the shows, but some of their other entertainers (Elegance Duo which is a string group) were wonderful.

Cabin Review

Window Suite

Cabin S7

Wow! We had 2 very large picture windows and were close to the water. Cabin is on Deck 6 (almost a secret hallway). Lots of room to move around. Had a very nice sitting area. The real benefit was the storage space - 3 closets and about 22 drawers (including 2 in the bathroom). The bathroom was huge with a Jacuzzi tub, shower and long counter with double-sinks. I think this is the most comfortable room we've ever stayed in on a cruise!

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Just did some shopping here. Too hot to be out for long!

Cozumel

We love to wander the shops here, so that was our day. Thankfully, it was overcast and breezy, so not too hot.
