I chose Avalon because of their state rooms - wonderful to have the entire room become your balcony. I can’t say enough good about this trip! There was not one single flaw in the entire experience. It was absolutely wonderful and we will choose Avalon again! The ship was wonderful, the service fantastic and the food was delicious! I felt pampered the entire week. It was our first river cruise and it was a wonderful experience! We started with 3 days in Prague which we loved and then cruised the Danube river from Nuremberg to Budapest for 7 nights. We got to see a lot of history as well as the beauty of the countryside. I loved the sailing part - nice and slow so you could take in the scenery. It was fun going through all the Locke’s. The ships staff was wonderful - attentive and willing to always make you happy. Cruise director Carolina was the BEST!!! We will definitely do another river cruise with Avalon. Would not even consider another cruise line.
