I have enjoyed well over 30 cruises on America's Inland Rivers. The American Queen Steamboat Company has perfected river cruising once again, with so many extras too numerous to mention. The scenery is beautiful, the small towns are quaint and the cities have revitalized water fronts. AQSC offers Premium Shore Excursions that allow you to immerse yourself in the theme of the cruise if you so choose, with the transportation provided by the companies own motor coaches. They also provide transportation during the stop to various points of interest in each town visited. Or you can stay aboard when in port and enjoy special sessions by experts or simply sit on deck. My particular cruise allowed for several hours of daylight cruising, which is not the case with other cruise lines. The crew appear to enjoy their jobs and take catering to the customer very serious. The experience in the J. M. White Dining Room compares to a fine hotel. The service was excellent, the food superb. The large variety should satisfy any taste. There is a second food venue which allows for more casual dining with extended hours and snacks throughout the day. The Grand Saloon allows for professional entertainment. An onboard Riverlorian gives informative talks and is available to answer questions. These are just the highlights. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this cruise!

Cabin Review

Cabin B - Outside State Room with Open Veranda

This category of cabin has more space than actually needed. Storage is excellent and there is even a full size bathtub in the bathroom. This size allows for a love seat and desk/bookcase, coffee table, etc. which makes a small seating area. The location is at the front of the boat just outside the Chart Room and just off the open deck which is an excellent place to side in the rocking chairs and enjoy the night air when cruising.
