My travel agent recommended this cruise and it was GREAT. No problem and nothing but high praise for the CRUISE. Dining was wonderful as were the accommodations. Excursions were great but a little long. Enjoyed the train ride to the summit and back, greatly. The ship was smooth and enjoyable. Entertainment was wonderful!!! The ship even forwarded our luggage to our plane so we would not have to deal with that!!! Wonderful amenity! However, going into port and shopping was interesting if not downright maddening. "Linda" and her husband have some kind of deal with a few of the diamond and/or jewelry merchants to get passengers to be escorted to their place of businesses with the idea of getting a "good deal". I understand this and am in full agreement with capitalism. I'm a former businessman/doctor and understand this upside down and inside out. However, one of the businesses, Diamonds International, with whom I was intending to make a purchase, took my information and got me approved for a loan (I did not purchase from this store) and when I got home, I had a credit card already approved and waiting for my use WITHOUT MY APPROVAL of sending me a credit card. It made a minor dent in my credit score which is now healed. But the simple idea of sending me a credit card which I did not ask for and which I think, is not kosher, if not illegal, disturbs me GREATLY. I'm REALLY bothered by this tactic. Now, this is not Norwegian's fault and maybe not Linda's but to think that this happens while I was not aware and had not approved, makes me very wary of 'wolves in sheep's clothing'.
I loved Norwegian as there were some children but not enough to ruin a vacation and would indeed sail with Norwegian again. Thank you NORWEGIAN. We loved the experience.

Mid-Ship Balcony
Cabin was adequate and large enough. One has to understand that this is not your home but a rental for a week!! The steward was exceptionally nice and offered all kinds of help but we did not need anything except towels on occasion. GREAT ROOM and VIEW. Loved Glacier Bay!!

Busses took us to some shopping downtown and got some gifts but it was similar to other gift traps... over-priced and most shops had the same things for sale.

Onboard was great!! Food was bountiful and delicious. Our balcony stateroom was lovely and very clean. I've been on a number of cruises and this ship was much superior to those of the past. Navigating the ship was easy after the first day or so. Signage was easy to understand and the staff was most helpful when asked any question. The staff put on some great entertainment and the captain and other officers took part. Movies were shown at night if you wanted to view some current movies. I watched "Their Darkest Hour" and really enjoyed it. We took a nonstop Delta Air to Seattle and got our own room 2 days prior to embarkation. This was stressful because we did not know Seattle but luckily got a hotel we could navigate to and from easily (Holiday Inn Express). This would be a nice amenity should Norwegian wish to provide it at nominal charge. The ship looks at your information and had a gift certificate for my birthday when we ate in the large dining room!! It was very special to me. At 72, I'm happy to see birthdays roll around again!! I ordered a soup which was not to my taste and the maitre'd fell all over himself to get me something that I liked!! Leaving the ship was quite orderly and easy and not at all helter-skelter as I have experienced on other cruise lines. I met my plane in plenty of time as I had patients the next morning and could not be delayed.
All in all... I truly enjoyed Norwegian Cruise Line's whole package and will cruise with them again, soon.
