We chose this cruise for its broad itinerary. Gothenburg, Tallinn, St Petersburg, Helsinki, Riga, Rostock (surprisingly excellent), Copenhagen & Oslo. And it was perfectly topped off with great weather. We did several excursions (all MARELLA'S), and loved them all except for the canal and city cruise in Copehagen which unfortunately was hampered by severe traffic congestion, so we didn't get the best of that . St Petersburg was out of this world. Complimentary shuttle buses laid on (free to use) at ports where docking was out of town. Our cabin (junior suite) was excellent as was the food and entertainment. Great service by all staff we encountered. Well run ship by Captain Chris Dodds who was visible, sociable and approachable as were all his senior team. This was a very happy ship and we were very happy to have been on it. Booked again on Marella Explorer next year on the Land of the Midnight Sun cruise. Can't wait.
Cabin Review
Furniture a bit tatty in places but all was spotlessly clean. We had a crack in our bathroom sink but this was replaced in full within four days. Apology gift (unexpected) received and we were very grateful indeed for the kindness shown. Our cabin stewards Prakash and Andela deserve a special mention for all the hard work they did in keeping us comfortable and well. Loved the Clarins toiletries which was always replaced when empty
