I have just returned from a 12 night Northern Europe cruise with my partner and was rather disappointed by the whole experience. The Navigator of the Seas was a very dated and poorly designed ship, and overall the cruise offered little value for money.
Cabin
We booked an outside cabin (standard with a window). We weren’t expecting to be in the lap of luxury but in all honesty we felt like we were staying in an old caravan. Faded carpets, and worn, poor quality furniture meant that we wanted to spend as little time as possible there. The cabin itself was tidy but unclean – despite the fact our stateroom attendant turned down the bed every day. We had to ask on three separate occasions for stained bedsheets and pillow cases to be replaced. There was dirt in the drawers and thick layers of dust in many places. Not great. Satellite reception on the TV was also poor (shows would regularly freeze or cut out half way through, though I’m not sure if this is common to all ships).
