This was my first cruise and I was pretty disappointed start to finish. A couple hours after arrival they literally herd all passengers onto the sides of the boats and line us up 5 rows deep for a mandatory “safety instruction”. It was so hot, we stood there sweating for an hour waiting for all passengers to line up before the instruction could begin. There was an elderly lady in front of us who needed to sit, sorry but she was told she had to stand. One man went running out because he was claustrophobic and started hyperventilating. My husband’s shirt was wet with sweat by the end and after a full day of travel and piled on top of each other in the heat like that, the smell was bad as well. The crew seemed oblivious. The crew members putting on the demonstration were also actors in the nightly cruise show and seemed more concerned with telling everybody to come see the show than the well being and comfort of the guests. I understand they have to give all passengers this instruction but there has to be a better way to do so.
Now the pools...if you want a nice, relaxing pool experience you won’t get it here. The pools are tiny...it’s standing room only, they are packed like sardines.
Okay now the food...the buffet food is BAD. People warned me about gaining weight on a cruise, I lost weight on this one. Think the worse Shoneys buffet you’ve ever been to.
Tacky decor, small but good storage options. Steward kept it very clean.
This port is beautiful! The water is turquoise, it’s like a giant ocean swimming pool.
