To see Haines Alaska, had not been to this port. This was our 15th cruise with Princess and we're disappointed. Bottoms of elevators sagging and sometimes felt you would fall through. Many children on this cruise which we are not used to with Princess. Could not use the heated covered pool as over run with unruly, unsupervised children running, jumping, diving, doing cannon balls and flips into the pool. Pool attendant could not control and told us he didn't want to make parents mad at him, but us being upset was ok. Asked passenger services to send someone to control and were told to use spa pool at other end of ship which is unheated and was filled with ice water. So much for our 15 cruises of loyalty. Went to Future cruises to find a cruise destination without so many children and was told to cruise between Oct and end of May, in cold weather. Food selection was not great. If you didn't like fish, salmon or sushi ...I had salad and a roll for lunch in buffet. Steak has disappeared from the "always available" choices along with chef salad from dining room menu. I know you can order anything but sometimes the translation doesn't work. Chef salad equals lettuce and tomatoes. Entertainment not varied enough. Beatles rendition Was 5 minutes in piazza and Tony Delany was everywhere.

Princess makes and posts rules they don't enforce. Formal night people came to dining room in flip flops, tights, t shirts and men in bathing suits and we're not turned away.

I am from an older generation which respects others and the rules set out to be followed.
