Had never been on river cruise before. Picked this cruise because wanted to go to Normandy. The staff were all very friendly and wanted to do anything to help you. The food was super good, well presented whether buffet or table service. Viking handled air arrangments. Met us at the Paris airport and quickly got us to the ship.The excursions included in the tour package were all we needed to keep us well occupied. The tour guides were very knowledgable of the areas where they were leading. The only extra excrusion we booked was "Paris at Night" because we wanted to see the Eiffel Tower at night. This was one of the highlights of the entire trip. The most impressive part of the trip was the opportunity to see Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, certainly a moving experience. We are glad to recommend Viking and hope some day to do another Viking cruise.
