We loved our veranda cabin. Everything from the heated bathroom floors to the lovely decks was first-class. The crew was outstanding and could not have been friendlier or more committed to making this the best cruise of our lives. The dining experience was heavenly - both the regional specialties and the standard menu. Our shore excursions were always well-planned and expertly done. We could not have been happier with our experience. We flew to Amsterdam and participated in the Pre-Cruise package. We loved the city and feel it's wise as some people had plane trouble and were late catching the cruise. The extra few days in Amsterdam gave us some leeway. We've already signed up for Viking's "Paris to Paris" cruise and the "Mediterranean Odyssey". One of the other things we really liked was only having to unpack once. This is one of the main reasons we will continue doing river and ocean cruises.
