We are Platinum level cruisers with NCL and the Gem is one of our favorite ships. We decided to use a cruise leaving from New York to have our wedding (and then a local reception in July). We invited everyone to join us, but most opted for the July party. 4 other couples (incl our matron of honor and best man) came on the cruise. Well, we had the time of our lives. NCL handled the wedding exactly as I planned it without a hitch. The photographers took over 300 photos (we don't even look like us they were so good!!)

The Canada/NewEngland crusie was a great choice (few kids)!!

This was our third time on the Gem. It remains our Favorite as it is just big enough. We are fans of the spa and buy a spa pass when we go. The spa on the Gem is great - very intimate and separate men women facilities (you meet in the middle)

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SF

Cabin was very roomy. Suite level cruising entitles you to privileges of special dining areas and other perks. Once you know how to use them, you do not want to travel any other way.

The aft facing suite has a large balcony enough for two lounge chairs , two sitting chairs and a small table.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Drove into NYC and used the PA lot. Even at $40 per day, still the best deal for getting to the ship and getting home.
