Chose Silversea as it is the very best for service which is genuine and authentic.
Chose Norway for the geography and to get a small taste of the culture. The fact that the cruise was enjoyable despite 13/15 days of rain speaks to the beauty of the wild and mystical coastline as well as to the excellent service/care of the Silversea staff.
The increased number of small speciality restaurants was a treat [ the jazz supper club especially] although I did miss being able to order from the daily dining room menu for in suite dining.
Something that must be addressed is the inclusion of the former High Tea service [ a consistently popular offering despite age of passengers] in the new coffee shop , Arts Cafe. There is not nearly enough space to serve all passengers wishing to attend and many left disappointed. There are several other excellent venues on board where the tea service could be offered [ it is only 1 hour per day!] with space and reasonable table size. I would also advise reassessing the offerings which ranged from turquoise to vivid green to hot pink iced cakes.
Otherwise, up to Silversea standards with lovely fresh but restful decor
Excellent re size and restful colours and amenities.
