This was my 16th cruise, hubby, BIL, SIL are all experiences cruisers as well. We are Carnival fans (this was my third NCL And everyone else’s first). I’ll attempt not to compare NCL to CCL... no promises though. This cruise was a birthday present for the hubby and BIL. Kid free planned cruise... bring in the booze!

We live in N Fl so we drove down the day of the cruise. Parking at Port Canaveral is always A breeze! The hubby had a 11 am check in time. The rest of us had 1:30 pm check in times. I was stressed about this and couldn’t figure out why they were different since we were traveling together. They let us all acheck in and board at the same time. We were on the boat by 11:30! The Sun is a smaller ship and I’ve been in her sister; the Sky before. The decor was ok. I am one of those cheesy people that LOVES the glitz and glamour of Carnival ships. We were in an inside room and they were in a balcony. Both rooms were nice and had good space for a couple.

Good in the main dining room and buffets were all good. Brazilian steakhouse was just ok and not worth the money in my opinion. Spa was ok. Massage was ok.
